چکیده
The healing power of light has attracted interest for thousands years. Scientific discoveries and technological advancements in the field have eventually led to emergence photodynamic therapy, which soon became a promising approach treating broad range diseases. Based on interaction between light, molecular oxygen, various photosensitizers, therapy represents non-invasive, non-toxic, repeatable procedure tumor treatment, wound healing, pathogens inactivation. However, classic photosensitizing compounds impose limitations their clinical applications. Aiming overcome these drawbacks, nanotechnology came as solution improving targeting efficiency, release control, solubility traditional photosensitizers. This paper proposes comprehensive path, starting with mechanism, evolution over years, integration nanotechnology, ending detailed review most important applications this therapeutic approach.

the interest of dental research in metal-free restorations has been rising in the last 20 years following the introduction of innovative all-ceramic materials in the daily practice. in particular, high-strength ceramics and related cad/cam techniques have widely increased the clinical indications of metal-free restorations, showing more favorable mechanical characteristics compared to the early...
متن کاملmTOR pathway: A current, up-to-date mini-review (Review)
Mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a protein serine/threonine kinase that was initially identified as the cellular target of rapamycin. This kinase regulates cell growth, proliferation, motility and survival, as well as the gene transcription and protein synthesis that are activated in response to hormones, growth factors and nutrients. Results from preclinical studies have indicated that ...

Background: Primary hyperhidrosis (PH) refers to excessive sweating, beyond normal physiological levels, in specific sites of the body for unknown reasons. It is usually bilateral and is most prominent in the palms, axillae, feet, and face. PH prevalence is estimated to be 0%-6.1% in different populations. It usually begins in childhood and is more frequent in women. In 57% of ...
